"In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." 1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV

Surely it's impossible to thank God for everything. Wrong! God would not command us to do so were it not possible. Lest you try to circumvent the teaching of this verse, be reminded (Eph. 5:20) says, "Always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God." No exceptions and no getting around it; we are to thank Him "in" and "for" all things! Behind all the happenings in our lives is the sovereign plan of God which gives spiritual value to everything but sin. Your present trial is His good pleasure. He has not designed it to hurt you, but help you. Take a moment and thank Him for the current trial you are going through.
