"So then neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but God who gives the increase. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building." 1 Corinthians 3:7, 9

How easy it is for those of us who serve the Lord to forget that we are laborers together with God. As workers in the field, we have equal value to God. In planting the seed of the Gospel in the hearts of men, it is only God who can produce the fruit of salvation. Our role as servants in the field is to faithfully sow and water the seed. He "gives the increase." Remember we are fellow laborers. Jealously, rivalry, and competitiveness dishonor Him whom we serve. There is no "togetherness" equal to that shared by those who labor faithfully and fervently in the spreading of the blessed Gospel message.
