God's Sink Hole

"Then Moses rose and went to Dathan and Abiram and the elders of Israel following him. And he spoke to the assembly, saying, “Depart now from the tents of those wicked men! Touch nothing of theirs, lest you be consumed in all their sins.’" Num. 16:25-26

Korah had led an organized rebellion against Moses and Aaron, questioning their divinely appointed authority. Dathan and Abiram had foolishly joined that conspiracy. God warns Moses and Aaron to separate from the rebels because He was going to quickly destroy them. We, too, must "depart from the tents of the wicked" who would influence us to sin like them. Biblical separation from the world and sinful unbelievers is rare in our times. The Bible says, "Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing" (1 Cor. 6:17a). The followers of Korah, for their rebellion against God and rejection of His anointed leaders, suffered unspeakable deaths, many by the earth opening up and swallowing them. God hates rebellion!
