"I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and turning to a different gospel." Galatians 1:6

In the context of knowing Jesus, the Gospel should saturate everything. There are many opponents of the gospel. Paul calls them enemies of the cross: "Whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is their shame, who set their minds on earthly things" (Philippians 3:18). The gospel is so important, believers are consistently warned to avoid false teachers. Let's just say that getting the gospel right is critical to our life in Christ - applying truth daily and refuting error.
