"If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O King." Daniel 3:17

What a wonderful story of three courageous, faith-filled young men. At the sound of the music, all were to bow down and worship the golden image set up by the king or face certain death by cremation. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego's response was, "Not today, not tomorrow, not ever O King. The God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the fiery furnace." Some things are worth going to the wall for (or in this case an oven) when our faith is challenged. These three companions of Daniel not only believed God was able to deliver them, but that He WOULD deliver them. Thrown into the fiery furnace, God honored the young men's faith, fire-proofed them, and provided the miracle they needed to escape the flames without even the smell of singed clothing. We serve the same God!
