“And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever." 1 Chronicles 28:9

It is an obvious truth, and not-so-obvious to some, that knowing God leads to serving Him. God has revealed Himself to us in Jesus Christ. Knowing God is dependent on knowing Christ (John 17:3). And those who know Him serve Him. We serve His purposes, not ours. We acknowledge His kingdom, not ours. We are His people. Therefore, it is our privilege to serve Him.
