Our Eternal hope

"If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men to be pitied. But now Christ is risen from the dead and become the firstfruits of them that sleep." 1 Corinthians 15:19, 20 KJV

If Christianity is only a man- generated system of worship and admirable philosophy of life, then it differs little from the other religions of the world. Christianity, however, is the only religion that answers the sin issue and gives a certain hope of life after death. Jesus's dying on the cross provides forgiveness of our sins and His resurrection guarantees an afterlife. The question for some is will it be life with Him or life without Him. The Bible definition of hope is the "confident expectation of good as it relates to the future." The resurrection of Jesus Christ arguably may be the most important event in human history, without which there would be no hope. Having believed on Him as Savior and Lord, we look beyond this life, to some glad day, dwelling with Him in a new heaven and on a new earth.
