"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." 1 Peter 2:9

The Bible makes it clear that those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and are saved, are saved because Jesus first chose them. We are chosen, we belong to God in Christ. We proclaim how excellent Jesus is. Everyone I know that grasps the grace of God knows how unworthy they were to be chosen. It was all a gift of God’s sovereign grace. It makes us want to praise God very loudly for choosing us.
