The Best Response Of A Redeemed Life

"And Saul trembling and astonished said, “Lord, what would you have me to do?” And the Lord said unto him, “Arise, and go into the city and it will be told you what you must do.’" Acts 9:6

The conversion of Saul of Tarsus is one of the great stories of the Bible and human history. His first response after being blinded by the glory of Jesus Christ was to plead for direction for his life from that day forward. "LORD, what would you have me to do?" He had been causing great havoc on followers of Jesus, even consenting to their deaths. Now he unveils his submissive and transformed heart to the One whom he previously persecuted. We all have things to do, but do they comply with what the Lord wants us to do? Following the Lord's direction, Paul is hand-led to the home of Ananias, where he was also healed of his physical blindness and given further instructions. Paul could now say, "Once I was blind, but now I see" (John 8:25b).
