"Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone?" Luke 10:40

Martha was frustrated and irritated that Mary was sitting at the feet of Jesus listening to Him while she was feverishly serving a house full of guests. You have been there, right? So much to do, so little time to do it, so few to help and feeling alone and sorry for yourself. When given the choice, what is more important, serving the Lord or worshiping and listening at His feet? Jesus answers that question once and for all by His reply to Martha, "Mary has chosen the better part." Serving the Lord is good, but worshiping Him is better. In the midst of serving, take time to worship the Lord, or you too will misinterpret the actions of those around you.
