"Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path." Ps. 119: 105

We live in an increasingly sin-darkened world that rejects the light of God's Word. In my childhood, I was afraid of the darkness where my mother said the "boogie man" lived and would get me if I did not do right. As believers, thank God we have been delivered from spiritual darkness into the kingdom of spiritual light. God's Word not only gives us the light of salvation, but also the light of instruction enabling us to walk well pleasing to Him. We need the light of His Word not only for our immediate steps, but also for steps farther down the road we've yet to take. God's Word, the Bible, gives clarity to the way in which we should go. It is also the sextant by which we navigate our lives on the Sea of life. "Don't leave home without it."
