The Light We Need in a Dark World

"Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but have the light of life." John 8:1

Only a delusional, deranged mind would make such a claim were it not true. Jesus used this metaphor of Himself in the well-lit courtyard of the temple at the time of celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles. Thousands with torches in hand, accompanied by the Levitical orchestras, danced throughout the streets of Jerusalem singing songs of praise. Do you have a song of praise for Jesus today? Reading through the four Gospels, one can only conclude that Jesus Christ demonstrated by His life that He was and continues to be the moral and spiritual light of the world. Whole-hearted followers of Him "will not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
