"But the God of all grace Who has called you into His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered for a while make you perfect, (complete) establish, strengthen, and settle you." James 1:5 KJV

Wow! It's simply amazing that God would choose to share His eternal glory with us. In the interim, look what God wants to produce in us through our suffering. Note, when will these four character qualities of perfecting, establishing, strengthening, and settling become a reality in our lives? "After we have suffered a while." God Himself is the teacher; our suffering is the classroom, and Christian character is the end result. Suffering is the result of death's entrance into the human family by Adam and Eve's rebellion and sin against God. Could it be that one of the reasons we lack spiritual maturity in our lives is because we have not suffered enough?
