Do you have any great expectations for yourself in this year or this decade? If so, journal them as a reminder and to be able to measure your progress. Paul was earnestly resolved to continue clearly magnifing to his generation the Lord Jesus Christ, whether by how he lived or in the manner of his death. Is it clearly apparent to others that we are walking in His steps and obediently following His example? At least once in most believers' lives they can remember a time when they re-surrendered their lives to the Lord; however, the flesh is weaker than we think, requiring us to surrender daily. For some it takes more courage to live for Jesus than it does to die for Him.
